Home About us News Bristol Safety Centre Secures Funding to Enhance Electrical Safety Education for Vulnerable Adults and Children

Lifeskills Learning for Living, a dedicated safety education charity, is thrilled to announce it has been awarded £4,000 from the Electrical Safety Fund (ESF) to significantly expand its safety training programmes.

The grant will support two key initiatives:

1. Bespoke Resources for Vulnerable Adults

Complementing the practical training being delivered, Lifeskills will expand their practitioner training and toolkit, and create a bespoke package of accessible resources around electrical safety information.

2. Content in Primary School Activity Book:

This popular book, which is used to extend the learning at school and at home, will feature a dedicated electrical safety page reinforcing essential electrical safety messages including QR code access to the “Switched On Kids” online activity.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Electrical Safety Fund for their generous support,” said Sam Jury, Partnership and Development Manager at Lifeskills Learning for Living. “This funding will allow us to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable people by equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe around electricity. By integrating electrical safety into our programmes, we are laying the foundation for future generations to become more independent, make good choices, and be safer around electricity.”

The programmes will utilise the Electrical Safety First’s website and its resources, thus ensuring accurate and up to date information is delivered.

This initiative underscores Lifeskills Learning for Living’s commitment to providing accessible and effective safety education to all members of the community.
