Today, we proudly celebrated 25 years of dedication to safety education with the launch of our new knife crime prevention training. This initiative, part of our popular safety education tour, will educate over 10,000 Year 6 students annually about the dangers of carrying knives.
The event, co-hosted with Avon and Somerset Police and sponsored by TGS Automotive Group, We Do Your Group, and Rapid Relief Team, brought together a diverse group of community stakeholders. We also announced an exciting new partnership with Gloucester-based Avon Metals. They will fund the training by smelting surrendered weapons and knives from Avon and Somerset Police surrender bins into metal ingots, with proceeds from ingot sales donated to Lifeskills. This innovative approach transforms weapons into life-saving tools and knowledge, enhancing community safety and empowering children to make informed choices.

Additionally, we celebrated the Avon and Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership, recognising the efforts of those who have helped fund and distribute over 500 emergency bleed kits across the region to save lives in trauma situations. For more information, click here.
